The great thing about mural painting and drawing is its size. The relation between the movement of the artist and the surface of the wall holds tremendous excitement and promise. Mural painting’s directness and colour make it the perfect narrative medium.
A great deal of information can be conveyed in a way that cannot be done in smaller work. Part of the fun is transferring the drawing up to wall size and discovering ideas as you complete the piece.
Another great aspect of mural painting is the interaction with the public, it’s fun to work with clients as well as passersby and working outside the solitude of the studio, which can be a relief at times!
